Shilharas of Karad - Southern Maharashtra
The Shilhara dynasty was established about the downfall of Rashtrakuda empire.
This Hindu dynasty had ruled 3 different regions
1.Southern Konkan (765 - 1020 AD)
2.Northern Konkan area around 1030 AD
3.Southern Maharashtra (present day Satara, Kohlapur and Belgaon (1050 - 1212 AD)
Shilharas of Karad followed the Kohlapur style of minting coins and retained a trident with a sun and a moon.
Coins bearing debased images dated to later period and finer to the earlier period.

Reverse - poorly struck garuda
Denomination - 1/4 Pagoda
Minted - 1052 - 1212 AD
Weight - 0.78 gms
