Tripura - Vijaya Manikya (1532 - 1564 AD)
The princely state of Tripura has one of the longest lineage of kings and was the largest kingdom in North East.
The rulers adopted the title of "Manikya" instead of the earlier word 'Fa' used by their ancestors meaning 'father' or 'head'.
The coinage of Tripura is the finest in terms of the design, strike, script, presentation symmetry and the circular ornamental border.
