City State - Tripuri
Tewar otherwise called Tripuri had its existence from Chalocolithic period. It was the capital of many dynasties and was a vibrant city till the reign of Kalachuries in the medieval period.
City State Tripuri also happened to be the capital of the Chedis.
The lead coin excavated of the period evidence the rule to be Bhavadatta, Ajadatta and Abhayadatta.
The region was later ruled by the Datta and Mytra dynasties.
Their reign followed by the Satavahanas.
The excavation of seals and coins revealed that post Satavahana rulers included the kings Siva Bodhi, Vasu Bodhi and Chandra Bodhi of Bodhi dynasty.
This ancient city was the capital of Kalachuries from 8th century to the 13th century.
