He
Attended the Kattyasar High School at Rajkot, which was Subsequently
named 'Mohandas Gandhi Vidalaya Rajkot' in his honur. In 1881, when
he was Twelve, he Cleared his Primary Examination at Rajkot itself and
Entered the Hight School.

April 1893, Gandhiji sailed for South Africa, to become a Lawyer for an
Indian firm. There he found himself a victim of racial discrimination.
He organized the immigrant Indian community there to fight apartheid.
He also negotiates successfully for many Indian social and political causes during his 21 years in South Africa.
